The Indre post office likes Saint-Valentin commune and the feeling
is mutual. With more than 30 years of temporary offices !
 

May 1967 : Saint-Valentin stamp request by Miss Deon, mayor of the commune at that time. First temporary offices with a date stamp that represented two hearts drawn by Jean Louis Boncoeur (local artist).
Temporary offices with the same date stamp until 1979.

1980-1983 : the postal flame announces another style with Peynet’s lovers which slogan is "Saint-Valentin, festival of engaged couples".
The philatelic souvenir adopts the flame shape.

1985 : Saint-Valentin post-office and the village are happy to announce the birth of their first child :

1994 : Saint-Valentin post office and the village are happy to announce the birth of their second child : the letterbox.
Launching of the departemental plan "congratulations to the bride and groom", promotion of wedding invitations postmark with Saint-Valentin.

1996 : It was the first time that Issoudun’s philatelic club proposed the audience an exhibition…(A love for stamps is also love…).
It is the birth of a heart stamp.

1997 : First day of Saint-Valentin festive stamp "Happy Saint’s day" (8th January).

At the end of 1997 :
- Lovers house with a decoration inspired by Peynet

Inauguration with an illustrated date stamp

1998 : First day of Saint-Valentin second festive stamp "Happy Saint’s day" (31st January). Arrangement of the house’s first floor into a municipal library.

2000 : Homage to Raymond Peynet (4th and 5th November) with the first issue of the stamp "Le kiosque des Amoureux - Valence".

Throughout years, privileged relationships with other Saint-Valentin villages all around the world :
