The vineyard was created in the 1960's by Andre Lafond on 2.5 ha of land. By 1977, the purchase of small plots ans new planting had helped it to grow to 6 ha. Taken over at
this time by Claude Lafond, the vineyard has continued to evolve,
improving its wines and vine-growing techniques, and increasing in size.. To give each wine its own distinctive personality, wine is made separately from each part of the vineyard : - "La Raie" (white wine), 6 ha of very stony topsoil, over upper kimmeridgian limestone, on a south-east facing slope. Here the sauvignon is giving to the wine a very delicate bouquet. - "Le Clos des Messieurs" (white wine), 1.3 ha of sandy, gritty topsoil over clay, on a terrace with gentle easterly slope. Its name comes from the last century : some "Gentlemen of great quality" owned at this place a plot of vine, considering it was here that the sauvignon gived its best results. - "Les Grandes Vignes" (red wine), 3.5 ha of pinot noir grape, on a sandy and clay topsoil over lacustrine tertiary limestone. - "La Grande Piece"
(rose wine), 3 ha of pinot gris grape, on a very stony soil, sandy and
silty, with a low level of organic matter. For more information,
